Shane D'Aprile comes to Politics magazine after four years of work in public radio. At WFUV in New York Shane covered city and state politics, followed by a stint at WAMU in Washington DC. Shane has been the recipient of several awards for his work.
He was honored by the Society of Professional Journalists in 2004 and 2005 for his reporting on issues related to September 11th, and most recently from the Associated Press for a radio documentary chronicling the return of U.S. soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan.
Shane holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Communications from Fordham University, and a graduate degree from Fordham's Elections and Campaign Management Program. Shane is a frequent guest on Clear Channel Radio and Sirius/XM Radio. He has also appeared on Fox News, CNN and NPR.
