First off, I
love looking through these threads, though it secretly makes my heart ache with overwhelming jealousy

I forever dream of the day when I'll have my own classroom that I can organize and decorate to my heart's content...
For now, all I have is a small cart to teach from, and a surprisingly spacious office that basically no one will ever see (except if a kiddo stops by to talk to me or something)
Anyway, I spent about 6 hours at the school today organizing all my things/going through the things that the old teacher left in the office (there was a TON. I chucked most of it, but there were still lots of useful goodies I hung on to!)
I took some pictures of my cart and my office space (which is not done being decorated yet... I have a couple more posters that I left at home which I'm going to put up soon! Maybe I'll update when it's all done

)

(The shelves look so EMPTY right now.

But I'm sure they'll fill up fast as the year goes on

(I'm a Spanish teacher, can you tell?

)
You can't tell by the pics, but I have a color-coded system for all my classes this year (I'll be teaching 8 classes per semester, so 16 classes total, 5 different levels - 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and multi-age). The bins on my cart are color-coded by level (this is where I will keep the photocopies/worksheets needed for each lesson) and inside each bin I have color-coded folders to keep collected work. Each class at that particular level has their own Spanish folder in the color assigned to them, and I have a corresponding 3-ring binder (one for each color/level) to keep notes/lesson plans/etc. Oh, and the drawers on my filing cabinets are also color-coded with this system too. Let's just hope I can keep it all straight!
I know it's not very impressive or anything, but I'm very envious of everyone showing off their classroom, and wanted to be able to show off something too (even if it is very lame XD)
