I've used the "Rhythmically Moving" series for rhythm stick activities. I think it's volume 2 that has a really good song for a stick passing game. The name of the song is "Fjaskern."
This is what you do: Every student has one stick
8 beats intro
A section: (Hold stick in your right hand)
4 beats tap your left hand
4 beats tap your left leg
4 beats tap your left hand
4 beats tap the bottom of your left foot
Repeat
Section B:
Tap stick on floor twice and pass to your right while grabbing stick on the left. This continues until the A Section comes back.
The song gets gradually faster. If a student drops a stick during the B Section, they have to wait to the A section to pick it up. This is a great activity to work on tempo and my kids LOVE it!!! It can also be performed as a folk dance without sticks.
I got it from and Artie Almeida workshop. She has a lot of good books and games. If you google her name, you should be able to find her website. I've also seen some videos of hers on pinterest showing activities.
