5014 score question
Does anyone know if the score you receive at the end of the Praxis Elementary School Content knowledge is accurate. I received an unofficial score as well as a breakdown by subject for my raw score? I am wondering if I passed....
Thanks

I'll put it this way: An unofficial score that's high enough to pass is generally not quite grounds to crack open the champagne - but it's certainly warrant to acquire the champagne and get it chilling.

If that's at or above the passing score for your state, I think there's some celebrating in your future.

Yes, the score at the end is the score you will see on your score report. It might be possible to get two different scores but I haven't heard of that happening to anyone I know. I took the 5014 exam and passed in November and I still haven't celebrated. Now, I've been filling out applications and praying I get a job soon.

I knew someone who took a Praxis test with subtests that used compensatory scoring (that is, the test taker who earned more than the official passing score on one subtest could get away with a score a few points lower than the official passing score on the other). She'd earned above the full pass on the first subtest. After she took the second, she phoned for early results, was quoted a score below the full pass but high enough - and was told that she hadn't passed. When she came to me in tears, I begged her to wait for the official score report before deciding that all was lost. Sure enough, the official report boasted exactly the same scores - and a big bold "PASSED".
I've been leery of making official announcements based on unofficial score reports ever since.

Actually, I didn't tell everyone of passing my exam until I got the scores online a week later.

My unofficial score was the same as the official one they sent me.

www.praxis2studynotes.com gave thorough information on all subjects. Although I used 5th grade Science and Social Studies books. I bought several practice books but they didn't help me much.
