Changing Jobs and Moving Mid-Year

A year ago, I moved out of state with my husband and took a new teaching job here. Just recently, my MIL has fallen very ill and my husband wants to move back home to help with her recovery. I am fine with this, because I am also missing my family. He has secured new employment, but I need to find something before we move back in about a month or so. We cannot afford to run two seperate households at this time, so we need to move back at the same time and get established in our home state again.

How can I address (in a cover letter) leaving a job and moving for family reasons without giving too much information? Also, I need to tell my principal when we return from break; what's the best way to do this?

I think that it's fair to say that you had to move because your spouse transferred to a new location.

I would say the same thing. Your spouse's career required a relocation and now have relocated again.
