Interviewing to keep my job this morning
You may remember my situation. My school is transitioning to magnet next year and everyone has to reinterview. I'm pretty nervous. As far as I know I'm the first one out of MANY, which means I won't have the luxury of hearing about the process through the grapevine but also I worry I won't be memorable when interviews end in 3 weeks.
I had to put together a lesson plan linking a CC standard to the IB magnet program we're adopting. I don't feel confident at all! I worry my plan isn't rigorous enough. To make matters worse, I don't know 100% I want to be a part of the transition (so much more work!!!) but I felt I owed it to myself to at least check it out.
My plan is to go in their playing two strengths I think I have: I'm adaptable (I have taught in 2 districts and 3 grade levels) and I have my Gifted certification, and IB is apparently rigorous.
Keep your fingers crossed for me today, please. I barely slept a wink!

Good luck! I'm sure your lesson is fine.  I would be nervous too having to present a lesson in front of adults.

Your Gifted certification will carry you far in this new structure. Don't sell yourself short. All confidence in you. Have confidence in yourself, because you've earned it.
