Let's see, it lands on a Thurs. Well, at work, I'll be swamped w/ 3 IEP meetings.
I'm not the type who has to do something on the actual holiday if it lands on a work day. As long as my boyfriend & I do something fun that weekend. We'll go out to dinner for sure.
I doubt we'll do much this year. My husband and I both have rehearsals on Valentine's Day (I'm directing a show and he's in one) and he has one show Friday, two Saturday, and one Sunday. That won't really leave much time for us to do much.
Flowers usually are delivered to school from my sweetie.
I have off M-W for February break the week after Valentines. Dh and I are planning a fun NYC day for one of those days.
This is the first year I have someone to celebrate with...
He is cooking dinner; I'm making dessert. I'm not sure yet if we'll do it on Thursday or Friday.
My district was kind enough to schedule conferences for that night, so I'll be meeting with, um, no one, as parents won't sign up for a conference that evening. Of course, I still have to be there.
I've never been much into Valentine's Day because I feel like if I'm with someone, we should be celebrating our love and doing nice things for one another all year. I resent that it feels like another excuse to buy things we don't need, so we don't do gifts and we're both happy. I wish I was working because I want to see my students enjoy it! It's so cute when they trade valentines. I have my own classes all day, and BF and I will probably just have a casual dinner. I may make him a card if I have time. If not, I'll buy one.
