Thank you guys! It really means so much that you all are thinking of me.
What should I take to this interview? I'm thinking of everything they have already (resume, cover letter, reference letters, credential, etc), but I'm also thinking about getting more references they can call. I have plenty of teachers telling me that I can use them as references. I can double check with thm, and maybe even get their personal numbers, not just the schools, and then type up 5-6 references on one page. Our teachers are out all the time, because of the time off they have to take, and his way I won't have to worry that they can't be reached.
I'm also thinking about taking a sample lesson plan, but more than one subject. This position is not ncessarily an English position. It may be a self contained class, although they didn't ask for multiple subject credential. This alt. ed. district has a juvenile hall, 1 probational camp and a few community / court schools. So it could be anything. I'm thinking about 1 - 2 English lessons (very different from each other), and maybe 1 Science and 1 personal development.
Did you ever hear back from the principal at the first school?
Good luck with your next interview!!
No, I haven't
So weird. The weirdest part is that last Tuesday (8 days ago) I left a message on his cell phone to please let me know if they have made a decision. The least he could have done is tell me they hired someone else. Very unprofessional. He only had to make 5 phone calls, including whoever got hired.
I'm going for this second interview tomorrow. Any last minute advice?
I've made a portfolio, it has cover letter, resume, 4 letter of recommendations, copy of teaching credential, and 2 English lesson plans (detailed). Am I missing anything?
